The Boston Progressive Jazz Festival has established itself as Boston's most eclectic music festival, and the third annual edition continues that tradition. Taking place April 3rd-4th, 2026, the festival presents two nights of what organizers describe as "diverse, elastic, and innovative music that bends genre boundaries while also exemplifying a connection to the tradition of progress in jazz."

Hosted at Deep Cuts in Medford, the festival occupies a unique venue that extends well beyond a typical concert space. The location features a full kitchen and bar, a pinball arcade, and a record shop—creating a multifaceted entertainment environment where attendees can explore music before, between, and after performances. Doors open at 6:30 PM both nights, with performances running 7 PM to 11 PM. The kitchen operates until 9 PM.

The 2026 lineup spans two distinct evenings. Friday, April 3rd features Shibui featuring Courtney Swain, BUND+, Rania Toli, and Samuel Cerra Elektric Quartet. Saturday, April 4th presents Shubh Saran, Brett Walberg, Martina Sabariego, and Sam Cruz's reInvention Collective. Day passes cost $25, with two-day tickets priced at $40.
