A Festival Born from Community Spirit

Lucknow's Music in the Fields emerged in 2008 from a simple idea: bring a large-scale music festival to a small town while maintaining that authentic small-town hospitality. What started as a local Kinsmen Club initiative has grown into an anticipated annual event that now draws over 8,000 attendees—nearly doubling the population of Lucknow itself. The festival is anchored at Graceland Festival Grounds, named after former owner Grace Hopf, which has allowed the event to expand far beyond its humble origins on local soccer fields and farmers' plots.

A Mission of Giving Back

What truly distinguishes Music in the Fields is its nonprofit structure and commitment to community. As the festival's official tagline states: "Great Music for a Greater Cause." One hundred percent of all proceeds are donated directly to charitable organizations, with a particular focus on the fight against Cystic Fibrosis and funding local and regional projects. The festival has donated over 1.7 million dollars to organizations in need, supported by a volunteer committee that exceeds 600 members each year. From ticket scanning to planning and cleanup, volunteers are the backbone of what makes this festival function.

The Festival Experience

Music in the Fields runs August 27-29, 2026, offering multiple ticket tiers to suit different budgets and preferences. Weekend passes start at CAD $95 for Friday-only entry, while full weekend packages range from $165 to $202 depending on tier availability. The festival sits in rural Ontario in Bruce County, about 15 minutes from Lake Huron, making it accessible from major centers like Toronto (2.5 hours), London (1.5 hours), and Owen Sound (1 hour).

Camping is integral to the festival experience, with flexible options including premium campsites ($200), regular sites ($175), and tent-only sites ($100)—all priced per site for the entire Wednesday-to-Sunday weekend. The festival allows attendees to choose their exact campsite location in advance, with accessible camping available for those with valid handicap permits. Free parking and shuttle services operate from town, and the festival provides RV services including pump-out and water fill stations.

Community-First Operations

The festival's commitment to inclusivity is clear: it welcomes all ages, and children 9 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a ticket holder. Service animals are permitted, and accessible parking and camping are prioritized. Medical, security, and emergency services staff the grounds throughout the weekend.
