LOCALTOPIA is St. Petersburg's largest community celebration and the annual anniversary event for Keep Saint Petersburg Local (KSPL), an independent business alliance founded in 2011. First held in 2014, LOCALTOPIA distinguishes itself as the only event featuring exclusively St. Pete-based businesses and non-profits. The 2026 edition, held February 14, 2026 (with a rain date of February 21), takes place at Williams Park and surrounding downtown areas, including Central Avenue between 2nd and 4th Streets and 3rd Street between 1st and 3rd Avenues. The festival showcases over 300 independent local businesses and community organizations across multiple themed villages: Arts, Family, Health & Wellness, and All Things Plants. Live entertainment is central to the experience, with local musicians performing on the Williams Park Bandstand, street DJs stationed throughout the festival, and additional performers in various locations including Draft Beer Central. Entertainment programming varies by year and has included samba dancers, underground cirque performers, drag shows, dance classes, acrobatics, illusionists, street musicians, and human statue performers. The event features Food Truck Rally Alley with mobile vendors, local restaurants, craft beer stations (Draft Beer Central), and live cooking demonstrations. Visual arts and handcrafted goods are prominently showcased through vendor stalls, an art bus, canvas painting experiences, and interactive art installations. The festival is free to attend, though donations are encouraged through tip jars and digital tip screens benefiting participating nonprofits and vendors. Accessibility amenities include wheelchair-accessible parking at nearby garages (South Core, Sundial St. Pete, Museum of American Arts & Crafts Movement), free bike valet, and accessible public transportation via SunRunner (free fare) and Central Avenue Trolley (free fare).
