Sol Summit: Music and Culture on the Border

Sol Summit Music & Cultura Festival brings together diverse audiences for a celebration rooted in community and cultural pride. Held in El Paso, Texas on May 2–3, 2026, at San Jacinto Plaza in downtown, the festival positions itself as more than a music event: it's a gathering built on inclusion, featuring programming across multiple genres and partnering with local nonprofits to amplify grassroots voices.

The Lineup

The festival's artistic vision reflects a commitment to cross-genre discovery. Saturday's performers include Colombian electronic act Bomba Estéreo, New Orleans-rooted Benjamin Booker, electronic producer Ela Minus, indie rock band DIIV, and Mexican regional ensemble Sultanes del Yonke, alongside regional acts like Frontera Bugalú and El Mariachi Manchester. Sunday features iconic alternative act The Flaming Lips, guitarist Adrian Quesada's Trio Asesino, singer-songwriter Ximena Sariñana, and punk outfit Sparta, among others. This mix positions the festival as a space where visitors can encounter both internationally recognized names and regional artists anchored in El Paso's musical landscape.

Community at the Core

The festival emphasizes accessibility and safety. A zero-tolerance policy protects attendees from harassment and discrimination. Organizers provide designated accessible entry points and viewing areas, and those requiring accommodations can contact accessibility@solsummitfest.com in advance. The festival's structure reflects its stated values: children 12 and under attend free with a ticketed adult (GA areas only), and volunteers can earn admission through the Sunrise Volunteer Ticket Program presented by Raiz Federal Credit Union, working alongside local nonprofits during the event.

Ticket Options and VIP Experience

Tickets are sold on a tiered pricing system, encouraging early purchase. The festival offers both one-day and two-day General Admission passes, as well as VIP packages. VIP access includes an exclusive lounge, dedicated main stage viewing, shaded seating, air-conditioned restrooms, two complimentary tacos from Taconeta, a free first beverage, expedited entry, and a $10 merchandise voucher. Digital tickets are delivered via email or through SeeTickets accounts. Payment plans are available; incomplete plans result in cancellation with no refunds.

Festival Experience

Festival hours run from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM on Saturday and 2:30 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday. Beyond the main stages, Sol Summit emphasizes cultural immersion through dedicated experiences in food and drink, art and activations, and merchandise shopping, reflecting a holistic approach to festival-going that extends beyond traditional concert programming. The festival maintains a curated environment—bags are subject to search, with specific size restrictions (clear bags up to 12" × 6" × 12"; non-clear personal bags up to 4.5" × 6.5"). Prohibited items include professional cameras, audio recording devices, outside alcohol, weapons, and a variety of other items designed to ensure visitor safety and experience quality. Re-entry is not permitted once attendees enter the grounds.

Getting Involved

Beyond attending, there are multiple ways to participate. Artists and retail vendors can apply through a submission form (food vendors are not being sought). Nonprofit organizations interested in partnership should contact partners@solsummitfest.com. Sponsorship inquiries are also directed to that email address.
