Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival stands as the world's premier celebration of songwriting craftsmanship. Now in its 34th year, the festival has established itself as a unique event where the focus remains squarely on the songs and the artists who create them. Rather than emphasizing production spectacle or mainstream entertainment, Tin Pan South invites attendees into intimate venues across Nashville to witness songwriters performing their own compositions.
The festival operates on a distinctive model: utilizing ten venues throughout Music City, it presents approximately 97 shows featuring over 400 professional songwriters representing diverse genres and career stages. This structure transforms Nashville into a songwriter's playground, with performances happening simultaneously across multiple locations, allowing attendees to curate their own festival experience by selecting which shows to attend.
Organized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) in partnership with Regions Bank, the festival champions the collaborative spirit of the songwriting community. It provides a platform where emerging writers share stages with established hit-makers, fostering connections and celebrating the universal language of songcraft. The five-day event in late March combines educational opportunity, live performance, and community building within the broader context of Nashville's music heritage. Ticket prices range from $15-$35 per show, with digital ticket delivery required for entry.
