Now in its 34th year, the festival has established itself as a unique event where the focus remains squarely on the songs and the artists who create them. Rather than emphasizing production spectacle or mainstream entertainment, Tin Pan South invites attendees into intimate venues across Nashville to witness songwriters performing their own compositions.

The festival operates on a distinctive model: utilizing ten venues throughout Music City, it presents approximately 97 shows featuring over 400 professional songwriters representing diverse genres and career stages. This structure transforms Nashville into a songwriter's playground, with performances happening simultaneously across multiple locations, allowing attendees to curate their own festival experience by selecting which shows to attend.
