Pickathon: A Temporary City of Imagination

Pickathon is a unique four-day immersive festival held annually at Pendarvis Farm, a rural property approximately 30 minutes southeast of Portland. With more than 25 years of history, Pickathon has earned a reputation as a festival that discovers and supports emerging artists before widespread recognition—the festival's curators have hand-picked acts like Khruangbin, Big Thief, and Billy Strings early in their careers.

Festival Experience

The festival transforms the farm into what organizers call "a temporary city of imagination," featuring over two dozen creative neighborhoods with custom art installations, immersive design, and multiple performance venues. The Paddock Stage and other performance areas showcase music across a broad spectrum of genres including indie rock, folk, bluegrass, electronic, and experimental music, with approximately 30 DJs and performers across the four-day event.

Camping & Wellness

Pickathon offers diverse camping experiences ranging from quiet forest camping areas to RV accommodations, creating a full-immersion festival experience. The event includes wellness and restoration spaces for attendees seeking respite, as well as family-friendly programming in the Coyote neighborhood designed specifically for children and families.

Community & Discovery

The festival's approach emphasizes artist discovery, community building, and the creation of unexpected connections between performers and audiences in an outdoor setting. For music fans seeking an immersive, multi-day experience with strong emphasis on emerging talent and creative neighborhoods, Pickathon represents a distinctive summer gathering outside Portland.
