Railbird Festival: Where Kentucky Music Meets Bourbon Culture

Railbird Festival takes its name from horse racing tradition—a railbird is someone who stays close to the action along the track. Each June, the term takes on new meaning as this two-day music festival brings world-class artists to Lexington's The Infield at Red Mile. Held June 6–7, 2026, Railbird showcases over 30 performances across three stages, drawing fans of country, Americana, folk, roots, rock, and bluegrass to Kentucky's heart.

Festival Structure and Ticket Tiers

Railbird distinguishes itself through deliberate integration of Kentucky's bourbon legacy and careful attention to attendee comfort levels. General Admission ($284 for two days) grants access to all three stages, food and beverage vendors offering vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options, official merchandise, and The Bourbon Hideout—curated barrel selections and tastings in collaboration with Justin Sloan and Justin Thompson of Lexington's Justins' House of Bourbon.

Upgraded experiences scale from GA+ Presented by Jersey Mike's Subs ($435), which adds a dedicated lounge with shade and upgraded restrooms, through VIP ($795) featuring on-field viewing and expanded lounge access, to Platinum ($1,950) with exclusive front-of-stage viewing at all stages, complimentary beer and seltzer service, all-day dining in an air-conditioned lounge, and golf cart transportation. The premium Superfecta package ($12,500 for two people) offers on-stage viewing at select venues, private concierge service, and an exclusive pre-show Friday evening reception. For groups, Cabana experiences ($30,000) provide luxury 2-day suites accommodating 15–30 guests with elevated Limestone Stage views, full-service bars, and curated dining.

Accessibility and Inclusivity

Railbird supports accessibility throughout. Children 8 and under enter free with a ticketed adult (varying policies apply to premium tiers). One-day tickets are available for Saturday or Sunday only. First responders, military personnel, and medical providers receive discounted pricing. A refer-a-friend program lets ticketholders earn fest cash—$20 per ticket sold through a personalized link—redeemable for food, beverages, or merchandise at the festival. ADA parking and upgraded restrooms equipped for accessibility are available on-site.
