The Utah Blues Festival stands as a premier regional blues celebration held annually in Salt Lake City's downtown core at the Gallivan Center. The festival represents a collaborative effort by the Utah Blues Society, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing blues music appreciation and education. The 2026 edition marks the festival's tenth year of operation. The event programming includes main stage performances by nationally touring blues and zydeco artists, educational workshops, vendor markets featuring both artistic and nonprofit organizations, and food service from local truck vendors. The lineup features established headliners Tab Benoit, Tommy Castro and the Painkillers, and Victor Wainwright and The Train, alongside zydeco performances by Dwayne Dopsie and The Zydeco Hellraisers, and emerging artists like Danielle Nicole and Ghalia Volt. Beverage offerings include beer, wine, hard seltzer, and complimentary water. The festival accommodates families by providing free admission for children aged twelve and younger. A specialized VIP Blues Club tier offers premium experiences including reserved seating, dedicated food and beverage services, and climate-controlled viewing areas. The festival also features pre-festival programming, including a Thursday night opening event at the host hotel's blues lounge, and after-show performances extending entertainment into evening hours.
